Q: I have a new build house – can you board the loft?
Yes! If you’re in a new build, we can upgrade your floor and board the loft. Your insulation is not affected as we raise the floor to accommodate the thickness of insulation. And because of the way we do this, your NHBC warranty is not affected.
Q: Which type of ladder do you recommend?
We have three ladder options and all are superb quality. We can fit wooden, telescopic and aluminium ladders depending on your budget, space and strength requirements.
If you are not sure which ladder is best, we can come and view your loft and advise which ladders are suitable, given the position of your loft hatch, the space around the hatch, and your personal preference.
As a rule of thumb, the telescopic and wooden ladders are sturdier and stronger (although not heavy!) while an aluminium ladder is the most affordable option and easy to operate.
Q: Approximately how much does it cost to have a loft ladder fitted?

Q: Can you alter the loft opening?
Yes! We can move the loft hatch to more or less anywhere. We can also make a loft hatch bigger if needed. When we change the size or location of the hatch, we always fit a new timber or plastic surround so that it’s beautifully finished. Please send us a message and we can advise!
Q: Can my loft be boarded if the insulation is thick?
Yes, we can upgrade your floor and board your loft. Your insulation is not affected as we upgrade the floor to accommodate the thickness of insulation.
Q: If we have very little insulation can we have our loft boarded?
No problem! We can add extra insulation to your loft for you, and then board it for extra insulation and extra floor space.
Q: Is the process messy?!
